Uses Of Calcirol
Calcirol is used to treat and prevent:
Vitamin D deficiency
Rickets
Osteoporosis
Hypoparathyroidism
Familial hypophosphatemia
Fanconi syndrome
?Kidney disease(maintains blood calcium levels and allows normal bone growth)
Vitamin D drops (or other supplements) are given to breast-fed infants because breast milk usually has low levels of vitamin D.
Calcirol works by promoting the absorption of dietary calcium through intestines.

FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION
Dosage
1/6 of sachet per day or 1 sachet per week in sublingual or in a glass with litlle water
Precautions
Calcirol should be avoided in case of:
Hypersensitivity
Hypercalcemia (increased calcium levels)
Vitamin D toxicity
Concurrent use of antacids that contain magnesium or other vitamin supplements
Malabsorption problems
NOTE: Calcirol can interfere with cholesterol blood tests leading to false test results
