Action :
Alterative, stomachic, emmenagogue, antiulcer, gastroprotector, appetiser, analgesic.
Rich in vitamin C, carotene A and calcium
Has an action on triglycerides and cholesterol.
Indications :
Gastric ulcer, bowel complaints, scurvy, irregular menstruation, fractures .
How to Use :
1/2 teaspoon before breakfast, and before bed time, mixed with some honey
Tender stems are made into chutney with acid lime.
The tender stems are steeped in non fermented curd and dried and can be taken as side dish or snacks after frying it.
This is advised for post-menopausal and osteoporosis patients.
