KEYSTONE has initiated eco-development projects with tribal communities from Nilgiris.
These Cloves are from bushes grown in the homesteads of Kurumbas, the indigenous people of the Nilgiris.
Cloves are found in wet and warm climates with a host of other spices.
The farmers and KEYSTONE assure the buyer that these CLOVES are orginacally grown and are hand graded, cleaned and sun dried.

NOTES
* Indigenous to the Mollucas it is now cultivated around tropical Asia as a medium sized evergreen.
* The contradictory classification of its ?hot? rasa and ?cold? virya energy is interesting. It reflects that Ayurvedic energetics are based on empirical evidence, subjective experience and therapeutic results.
* It reduces kapha and vata by its hot and bitter quality and reduces pitta by its cool action.
* This cold action of Cloves is displayed via its anti-inflammatory effect; it also feels cool as you draw air through your mouth when you chew a clove.
