NATURAL VETIVER SPONGE
1 sachet of 1 rond piece
The vetiver rhizome contains an alcohol-based essential oil; the sesquiterpenes (vetiverols) which gives the vetiver its disinfectant and antiseptic properties.
In India, the dry root is ground into a powder which, when applied to a wound, helps the healing process and reduces swelling.
The vetiver is a plant from the gramineal family, from the Indian sub-continent. The plant in its native state comes in large tussocks with a root system that grows vertically and can reach depths of three meters.
Vetiver essence belongs to the woody olfactory group. Its fragrance is subtle and complex.
Vetiver hedges are used to control soil erosion and to maintain humidity, stabilize stream banks, rehabilitate raw land and fight the pollution threatening natural resources. Vetiver is also a cost efficient alternative to thatch and straw.
Vetiver contains terpene, a natural insecticide. Its roots are bound with a string and the bundle is then hung up in closets to prevent moth infestation.
You may compost your vetiver or add it to your mulch.
